The Black history, culture and heritage which has been passed on from generations to generations through oral traditions; preserved and safeguarded by the griots, people who tell our tales, speak proverbs and even sing songs to pass down the traditions of our culture known as oral tradition. The oral tradition remains an imperative depository for the blacks. The vitality and the richness of the black culture still stands firm because we haven't lost our traditional oral forms.
In essence , let's come together in unity and continue to maintain our oral traditions for the younger generations and even generations to come.
There is an adage said by my people (the Ika People of Delta State, Nigeria ) : “Onu kokome Ogbu Ofifi,”
English meaning - If the mouth is closed together it will surely blow a whistle.
When we come together in Unity, we can achieve our aims.
